Pickup Winder
Bought a 12VDC motor. 24 RPM. Built a pickup winder. There's more tweaks to come later on, but I ran my first one to test it out.
Works sweet. In fifty minutes you have a 1200 wind pickup. Can't wait to see what kind of sound it gets.

Yes the pickup is taller than normal. The poles are neodyne magnets that I bought on line. Turned out to be longer than I wanted. The first one worked out nice, so I figured I'd make the second one with the new winder.

I made this one with slow in mind. I want to be able to set it and forget it. Depending on the number of winds I want, I can just run a timer and go shut it off when it's done. The first run seems to be nice and firm, seems to keep the wire tight.

i have two ideas for a pickeup winder,,one is a can opener motor, and the other is a motor from a popcorn popper that stirs the popcorn...both seem to run pretty slow
