First new song from forthcoming album "Some Blues from the Muddy River" out in January 2016, the river in question being the River Torridge which runs past my new home at Bideford in North Devon.

I got the riff while jamming with 407bug earlier this year in London and worked out the song while staying in Boissey Sans Avoir in France recently, plenty of inspiration there!

Guitars - Reso Dobro style 6 string "Swamp Witch Elemental" guitar, Slowpawcaster 6 string cigar box guitar
Drums - Beat Root foot stomp
All instruments, Vocals, hand claps - Slowpaw Steve T

MUDDY RIVER COME SWIRLING DOWN
RAISE THE BOATS PAST THE LITTLE WHITE TOWN
MUDDY RIVER COME SWIRLING DOWN
RAISE THE BOATS PAST THE LITTLE WHITE TOWN

CHORUS -
MUDDY RIVER GONNA WASH MY BLUES AWAY
MUDDY RIVER DONE WASHED MY BLUES AWAY
MUDDY RIVER GONNA WASH MY BLUES AWAY
MUDDY RIVER DONE WASHED MY BLUES AWAY

IN THE MORNING YOU GO AWAY
COME ON BACK AT THE END OF THE DAY
IN THE MORNING YOU GO AWAY
COME ON BACK AT THE END OF THE DAY

CHORUS

MUDDY RIVER THEY CALL TORRIDGE
SWIRLING DOWN AROUND THE BRIDGE
MUDDY RIVER THEY CALL TORRIDGE
SWIRLING DOWN AROUND THE BRIDGE

CHORUS

I WAS LOST AND NOW I'M FOUND
LOOKIN' DOWN AT YOUR DIRTY GROUND
I WAS LOST AND NOW I'M FOUND
LOOKIN' DOWN AT YOUR DIRTY GROUND

CHORUS

MUDDY RIVER YOU MAKE MY DAY
MUDDY RIVER DON'T NEVER GO AWAY
MUDDY RIVER YOU MAKE MY DAY
MUDDY RIVER DON'T NEVER GO AWAY

CHORUS

the river is tidal, more apparent during the summer but midday it looks empty with little pools of water here and there leaving all the boats high and dry, and Bideford's pet name locally is "the little white town" .. Four new songs coming over the next few weeks :-)
