I did want to point out one thing regarding that tuning - I came across it on the site of the gentleman that built the Morris Minor guitar for Seasick Steve. I wanted to link that here, and I can't find it now... for the longest time, I couldn't place what tuning he was using. He tunes to this on his CBG and the Morris.

I'm not sure if the builder is on here or not. Just giving credit where it's due (also not sure if this is the builder's tuning, or Steve's...)

Regarding the build; there is no lid under the plate. I made this frame from scratch. It's just cedar plank. It is a neck-through, so the plate is resting on the neck, and I glued in 4 small blocks for the plate to be screwed to. I hope that makes sense. I will upload some build pics if I get a chance.

Long Gone Good.  That is a honking good sound.   Good playing too.   I've not tried that tuning - yet.
