Wow! Now that is a song! And a performance. (You even have the look down!) Total package here folks!

Sittin' in her bedrooom
With a pretty red lap steel,
Plays some bluesy rhythms
That matches how she feels.
Plain to see she's angry
And still feels a twinge of pain...
Still... if it makes for songs like hers
You won't hear me complain.

Because the sorry truth about it
Is we're just the sum of tears
and all the scrapes and heartbreaks
That dog us down the years.

Now there's some who'd go and buy a gun
And some a jug of gin...
But the special ones write a songs and laugh
About this world we're in.

Thank you Ms. Laurie Lee. I really enjoyed that. :-)

Oh,

I unhitched my little wagon

from my little black horse,

now I'm going down down down,

outa control,

down a steep steep hill,

and my little black horse

is a laughing at me,

he told me

"Just you wait and see!"
