Belinda - these were a job lot on Ebay, collection only but it was near me so I did well. 3 out of 4 I've got working. Bought a few in local junk shops too.

thanks guys - yeah it needs pimping a bit but keeping it lo-fi. Haven't got a design yet but have a couple of professional arty friends who I hope can give me some inspiration. Next project already on the bench - an old Alba but the detector diode is hard to find and it has a weird distortion at certain volumes - maybe a leaky capacitor somewhere needs changing. Learning all the time - love it.
