those shoes were cobbled in San Francisco sometime around 1850/60 and were suspected to be "theater" actors shoes...made me laff, just donning them

thanks everybody,...:-) I was a pretty easygoing kid, so the trauma was not great, just "weird" !! maybe that's where the  HOHOHO comes in--the big guy a little intimidating when you are quite small , and when too plentiful, yes, a confusion for a growing mind! LOL...
