no fancy tools required! belt sander option sounds cool though
fretwire comes in all sorts of sizes, medium gets the best results with the coping saw.

Yup, thats how I do mine too, but with a dab of superglue to hold them in place. Then I finish the rough ends on the belt sander :o)

thanks for that, you've made it look doable!...mmm and I have all those tools. I thought you'd need all kinds of fancy tools to do it!! btw does the fret wire come in different sizes? and if so what size are you using here???
