Thanks for your comments SJ and for understanding what I was trying to do with this song. My sister, whom I love dearly. is a tea party, fundamental Baptist, ultra conservative person. I wanted a song that brought a message in a non argumentative way and I figured even she could relate to the Statue of Liberty, the Bible and the story of an immigrant coming here and working the coal mines. No comment from her yet however, lol.

Beautiful stuff. Topical and relevant protest song here. Contemporary Folk with a purpose.  Your Band sounds wonderful too.

A classy subtle approach and more effective than a punk CBG band with you in a Mohawk screaming about baby cages and Melania's jacket... ; )

Thanks guys. I'll add that I'm playing a homemade banjo on this just to satisfy those saying "what, no cb instruments?" I am however, recruiting these two friends to play on an upcoming CD with nothing but CB and other home crafted instruments.
