Cigar Box Guitar "Manic Depression" Jimi Hendrix cover 3 string fretless slide Mark Stowe
A couple of people wanted me to demonstrate my 3 string fretless slide arrangement of the Jimi Hendrix classic Manic Depression (one of those rare rock songs played in waltz timing), so I hope this helps. Its a great tune with a lot of structure and yet plenty of room to explore.
This is more laid back then the cover of Voodoo Child I posted, and it may be less effective because of that.
I was a little too worried about playing the right notes when I should have just torn it down.
I did make this Cigar Box Guitar myself, Ive got it tuned to E-B-e, with a single Piezo Transducer taped inside with electric tape
