Capacitance Pick up test?
Getting closer to perhaps how an alutec works?
Strange phenomena using just a jack plug, it becomes an electronic pick up when using a NI magnet in its packet on a CD over 2 strips of seperated foil. The jack is used as a bridge. It does works without the CD as well.
With the earth of the jack touching one side of the foil and the magnet between the other end and foil.
But only works when using the clear packaging for the magnet, touching the jack end.
Sorry for the poor video .
Weird sunday night test findings.
Has any one cracked a capacitance pickup yet.

WARNING: Sensible comment alert !!
Have you accidentally made a small condenser microphone ? I don't really know how they work so it's just a guess. Electrical stuff is not a Digly strong point. Does it work with nylon strings ? If it does, that would rule out any magnetic effects.
