Andries, the moslty admired American writer/adventurer, Jack London, wrote a really good book about his hobo days. Late 19th century. You might like it if you can enjoy reading in English. Beware, there are other books with the same title.
Also, a great hobo vs trainman movie - probably hard to find - Emperor Of The North.
