Thanks for the comments. It was fun to build, because it was something new a little crazy. Finding the best materials was the hardest part. I would have liked to use a steel dowel instead of a wood dowel, but could not find one. That would allowed higher tension. The "teeth" of the gear wheel should also have longer and stronger metals rods, but again it was hard to find in the local hardware store.

interesting indeed! at first it look like the springs of a pair of shocks, but its cable! clever bit ,does it hold the tension ?

Interesting!  I hope you had fun making them.   Go above one of the videos.    Click on option and then you can delete.
