Well the good news about modding an amp like that is... if you screw it up... it's only $20 for another one. :-)

I am getting close to being motivated to do something with my Danelectro HoneyTone amp. I already stripped off every plastic part trying to eliminate buzzing. It’s better, but I think a bigger speaker is in order and I want to incorporate my Ryobi inverter that lets me power it with a 18v rechargeable battery. After watching you do both mods Kale, I’m confident I can pull it off. I just need to chase down a speaker. Another excellent and informative video. Well worth the time.

Is there and electrical shock help line?   That conversion would work better for me if my Indian name was not 'Screws Up Plenty'.   Glad it worked out for you Kale.  Cool to know it is doable.

Yeah, if you're not comfortable with voiding your warranty and soldering... this is not for you. But let's face it... most folks here don't care about warranty. We're tinkerers. :-)
