A Coal Miners Son

No idea who wrote the poem. Discovered at the back of an old book telling the story the village I was born and raised in. Allerton Bywater in West Yorkshire.

Here in West Virginia the coal mines are big business and the miners often risk and lose their lives trying to make a better life for their children. Lots of good songs have come from that culture from all parts of the world.
