"r.j. you can lower the action by sanding the bottom side of the bridge, you may also need to lower the strings at the nut afterwards using the same method? take your time tho, it’s easy to remove material, but harder to put it back? Good luck…"

beginner mistake

hi everyone, i made a big mistake and not sure how to fix it. i really hope im not the first one to do this but, i bought not one but two slide guitars . one 3 string and one 4 string. i did not know the action would be so high that you cant fret. both are well made nice guitars but i want to be able to fret and slide. looking for ideas on how to lower the action. maybe install hardtail bridges ? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks , r.j.See More

How many instruments have you built so far?: 0

What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here, your membership may be rejected).: im a bass player , but my left hand cant take the stretching anymore. started looking for something i could play and found cbgs, learning chord shapes is new and kinda tough , but im having a blast. really wish i would have found these sooner.
