Wow. Thanks Unc. That's a huge compliment coming from a seasond CBG guy like yourself. I really appreciate it. But to tell you the truth, I feel like I'm trying to keep up with guys like you. That resonator you have up there is gorgeous. And I love that one in the pic with your hat and pistol.

Thanks for the comment on Earworm Uncle John. You are a kind man! The doctor told me I could start using the thumb to pick a little and it actually feels much better than it did before the surgery.  See ya 'round

thanks uncle john, the vintage portina is staying vintage, i even darkened the brass sound hole to make it look older, and it does sound good just like that.

Thanks for your kind words. The fork handle technique is a cheap solution to a problem. I got mine at a local second hand store for 10 cents. You can them at dollar stores for 50 cents each. If you're really lucky you might find something at a flea market or garage sale that's has some fancy scroll work like the one I found. I'm glad you found my build helpful!

Hi - thanks for your comment - I always use Tung oil on the necks but French Polish or varnish on boxes - think I am converted to wax on these old boxes now - much more natural somehow - Happy Holidays to you

Thanks John, there will be a blue glass bead , backed by a silver foil reflector to catch light mounted in the hole. Dig all your vids and those "vintage" photos of the bluesman!
