Hi Andries. I opened my YouTube feed today and was pleased to see you were a featured video on the main page for your most recent video. You were there with the best music on eEarth along with Blackberry Smoke, Willy Nelson, Meryl Haggard, etc. big smile Andries!
"Thanks Andries", Yep! a regular 3 String 30" Short Scale Bass, made with bits and pieces of recycled timber, and Bass Hardware etc that has been laying around in the shed for the last couple of years :-)
That's cool Andries. You have some awesome machines. Here are a couple from my stable. CZ 125 (plus other bike parts)Chopped and lowered Bobber - Rode around Latvia and the Baltic Sea in 2016 and Old Red - 1937 Jawa 175 Lidova - Complete restoration from 97% original motorcycle. I have some larger bikes too.
Hey Pal ,thanks for reachin out.Yes work is takin a toll and a bit of a creative lull,A bit of vacation.Plus the extra work has been hurtin the wrist a bit.so a lot of everything.Been recordin a bit ,but nuttin earthshaking. You know sometimes you just need a break thru song to get those juices flowin.Took some killer coast vid, maybe I'll put that together with somethin.Lot of work and come home and nap kinda days.. It usually calms down in August. Preciate ya ,brother .Love Peace and Chicken Grease .I'll be back on soon.
I do like that lantern oil can guitar. Likely a good idea to wait and decide on the electrics. I have a fiddle started. I think if I can get some design features done well, I will be able to play better. Too hot to work on it today. Around 35C.
Thanks Andries, glad you like the logo. :-) Shipping cost to the Netherlands is probably outrageous but if you want to order a shirt you can get them here:
Hi Andries. I don’t quite understand the comment as it is disconnected from the photo or video it’s referring to. But yes, I do play and value the Andries BCB guitar as well as my two Uncle guits. I have a lot of guits to play and I rotate. With the new organization, your guit came closer to my hand. Since I play fiddle with guit lately, I choose the guit by open tuning key. I usually use one of my builds for videos like you do. I’d never scrap out a good guitar like yours Andries. I might try and “improve” one as that’s the fun part.
Lots of the recordings over the years have had different Lyrics, but with the same title. Probably many other songs have been done this way too. I'm really not sure of the original lyrics myself.
I did enjoy your version. Keep on doing what your doing.

Hi Andries. Yes it does have a space mellow vibe like the cello bass. A good contrasting element. Very nice discovery my friend. Bone Yard Good!

No it’s a desert with Coconut & Pandan leaves, quite tasty? Pandan grows & is widely used in Philippines, it also has health benefits? Cheers :)
You're welcome Andries. It's always a pleasure to see your artistic talents.

You're welcome. I see that you put a lot of thought and work into your videos and display artwork.
I couldn't find the Blues guy that recorded it first, but i did find a "Ruth Etting that recorded it in 1931 to 1937.http://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/album/easy-come-easy-go-original-recordings-1931-1937-ruth-etting/3610152200332
