Hi Darryl. Many thanks for your warm welcome! I shall certainly post some images of my CBGs. Like everyone else I name my CBGs so bear with me. I'm just finding my way around the web page at the moment so it won't be too long to wait.
Hi Darryl, Thanks for the welcome, as requested heres a pic of my 1st CBG. (slide) Bit rough round the edges but sounds pretty good. Will be using in the studio.
Thanks! Winter is always a great time to spend time in the shop. Looking forward to learning more about cgb"s. I have a few builds that will be starting this weekend and will be trying a few options...oak neck, maple neck, thru-body (no tailpiece), hinge tailpiece, etc. Will be making stomp boxes as well from smaller boxes. Started to gather up some boxes and am guessing the shelves in the shop will soon be overtaken by boxes.
Sure thing Darryl, thanks for the comment, looking at your photos you have a lot of experience especially in the art, design and detail the wood burning is excellent.
Sorry it's taken me 3 years to accept your invite. I've not been making guitars since the Grommit Git and have only just cleared out my workshop to the poiint where I can actually work in it ;-) Discovered a heap of unfinished necks and got the bug again :)
Hi there Daryll I have posted the pic of the only one I have left, will post pictures of the next build. Hope you are all keeping well and safe and keep strumming 3 stringers
i am absolute beginner, so I just completed 1st build that was a kit by C.B. Gitty. I hope to try the next one on my own. I have a comacho cigar box to use, still planning it out.

Thanks for your suggestions for making a box.
For power tools, I have two sanders, a circular saw, and a drill. On my first build I used hand saws. I do have a couple of chisels.
I looked up finger joints and that seems doable, practicing on some old wood. I should probably get the minimum kind of power saw.
Thanks!
Jo

Hello Darryl!
Thanks for being the first to welcome me to CBG. I hope to be on here more in less than 6 months when I retire.
Take care,
Jerry
It was on my Christmas list … but … looks like I may have to buy it myself!
Thanks for the welcome, Darryl.
In about 120 working days, I hope to be retired and I really want to do something fun ... like build a CBG!
