Playing Multiple CBGs Design Challenge...

Well, it was going to happen eventually... The more I write and play, the more guitars I would want to include in the show. The problem that I have now is the "dead air" between songs feels like forever.

Since I don't have a guitar tech to run one over to me mid-show like the big dogs have, what can I do on the cheap to make that in-between guitar time really short, or mildly entertaining.

I've had some crazy ideas of duct-taping all my guitars together on a hula hoop, or on a gatling gun, to spin them around. Seem impractical, heavy, and a little silly (could be entertaining?) to wield such a thing. If you've got any wild ideas, post 'em.

Thanks!

Maybe you need to build one that tells jokes between songs.

Or build one like the Bairfooit Cajun did a while back...2 guits in one ...he build on on the back. You could have one fretted for finger stlye playing and one for slide work. Maybe different pickups or have a looper handy with some cool backup sounds.

I'm working on a stand up bass that I can grab and drop a line into the looper and then just let go and it rights itself, like those boxing toys from ur childhood that you can't knock over.. Hope that makes sense..

Take Clock's little hotel widget below, and hang the clothesline across the stage. Hang all yer CBGs from it at approximately chest height, spaced evenly. Rinse. Repeat.

How about one o' them automated clotheslines?

Or you could attach little guitar stands to

remote controlled vehicles...

Bill,

Have you seen Matt Schaub's Sith-tar?:

Why not make a CBG "wagon wheel" - six neck radiating outward, attached to a central box. Just rotate for a different tuning.

You're gonna hate me for this idea >:-E
