Acoustic videos?

There seems to be a lot more folks posting videos that are electric and not acoustic. What seems to be effecting this trend. Roots players were mostly acoustic weren't they?

Amped and with electronic effects, one doesn’t have to worry about what the thing really sounds like. One can string and amp a coupla' boards... add a catchy video,and have a wiener winner.
