Rest In Peace, Anonymous Pick. We Lost a Legend.

Just got this email.

This is Valerie, Anonymous Pick’s wife.  I'm saddened to tell you Pick passed away October 11at 5pm.  I wrote to you on another sight so I hope you get this email. He loved all you guys and making his guitars.  Could you please announce this. He asked me to let you know but I couldn't get on Cigar Box Nation.

We just lost a legend. Feel free to post your favorite Pick stories, instrument photos and videos below.  You can also go thru his personal page on here at https://www.cigarboxnation.com/profile/theanonymouspick

Sad to hear we lost a legend in the CigarBoxNation world. Pick was an inspiration to us all.

Dang it, very sorry to hear this news.  Never met the man but he was clearly a generous person, always willing to share his knowledge with others.

I remember the nation ran a month long blog having fun guessing what Anonymous Pick actually looked like. I got to know a little about Pick with him making and sending his donated guitars to St Louis CBG fest each year to raised money for great causes. There are several Swamp Witch guitar owners here in the area. Below you see my smilingdog custom guitar. A lot of cool memories associated with this man from Canada.

Agree Unc, it is not exactly how I pictured him, but close, and as you say, it appears to be the face of a kind man, which I found him to be. My memories are only enhanced by this photo. I'm both happy to see the face, and saddened to find he was so young, thankfully his legacy remains for all of us here at CBN who have dealt with him.

Oh wow. I thought I'd never learn his name much less see his face. He will be greatly missed. I was hoping in the back of my mind that this didn't happen. This guy could shred on the 3 string.
