apologies

Hey everyone I am still alive and kicking. I want to apologize for not being on here and listening to everyones great videos. With having COVID over thanksgiving and all the stinking overtime at work plus the fact that they have blocked youtube at work it is hard for me to find time to sign in here and listen. I have not forgotten all my friends on here. Hope to see yall at Callyfest 4

Hey everyone I am contemplating the idea of another virtual fest maybe in August or Sept in good ole Granby MO. Let me know what everyone thinks. I would like for Dave to contribute his art work again.

apology

I just wanted to apologize to everyone on this great group. I have not been able to watch everyone's outstanding videos as much as I would like due to shortage of people at my job. In the last 3 weeks I have worked almost 30 hrs of overtime. I have been working a lot of midnight to noon shifts, which take a toll on the body. I have not even had time nor felt like even playing much. I promise I will be back on enjoying the great posts. Thanks to some great friends and musicians on here for…

Callifest 2019

I would like to take this opportunity to express my thank you to Richard Sundberg and all the others responsible for this fun filled journey. I have had a really bad last 2 weeks at work with lots of bad calls from house fires with a person trapped that was taken to burn center to a 5 month old in cardiac arrest. But each day when I got off from work I would read the antics being posted on the different video blogs. Dave Uncle John Vinnie all of us had unusual experiences on the way there. The… Continue

I really enjoy all the posts on here

PIEZO PICKUP

I AM GOING TO BUY A 29 MM PIEZO PU FOR MY LICENSE PLATE GUITAR. I AM WONDERING IF I SHOULD MOUNT THE PAD UNDER THE BRIDGE ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE LICENSE PLATE OR IS THERE A BETTER PLACE TO MOUNT IT. I HAVE EASY ACCESS ALL UNDER THE LICENSE PLATE SINCE THE BOX OPENS UP STILL. ALSO THE NECK IS A THROUGH BOX NECK IF THAT MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE. I WAS GOING TO PUT A PRE AMP PU IN BUT THE BOX ISNT WIDE OR DEEP ENOUGH. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

string tension

I just recently finished a 3 string and it seems like the strings are a little hard to fret. I have it set up on a 25 inch scale, if I move the bridge toward the neck will it make the strings easier to fret without sacrificing tone quality? It plays great with a slide. I am also wondering if I might have the frets set too low. I am using an 8/32 bolt for the bridge and a bit smaller bolt for the nut.
