"BrianQ,   I will look into that when I get back on that project! I will get my hands on some of those transistors! I got 10K and 50K trim pots to replace the 8K2 and 33K resistors with. That should help with getting things just right!"

"Have you tried a lower gain transistor for the 1st stage? Something like BC337-16 or BC547A with an hfe of (100-250) will tame the over saturation of the 1st transistor common in the FF circuit, making it smoother & more versatile? Lots of…"

"BC109B are sounding really good. But I have ordered some 10K and 50K trim pots to be able to bias better. Also may add another filter cap to smooth out the first stage transistor a smidge. Been busy with a small run on my first production pedal,…"

"Sockets & Trimpots are useful in mining the gold out of high gain transistors, especially FF circuits! I like to use 1% Resistors instead of standard ones in these kinds of circuits, they hold to their specs longer & operate with less noise.…"

"Currently have a whole list of projects! But I have a Fuzz pedal, a couple Bypass Relay circuits, a Boost pedal, a Pre-Amp pedal, and a 1950/51 Gibson BR-6F that are all in various stages of disrepair. Some are waiting on parts. Some just need more…"

Effects Pedals

Currently working on a few prototypes for some guitar effects pedals. I have my Fuzz pedal back from testing currently. Going to swap out transistors for something a bit hotter.

The current transistors are BC108. And I will be trying out some BC108C this time around. It is essentially a Fuzz Face with a few changes, and a whole different PCB…
