"Hi Tim, it only matters regarding the feel of the finger board, I think. If players do heavy string bends them they might prefer lager fretwire, but for chording and/or slide playing I go for a small wire, much like used on banjos, or the narrowest…"

Which kind of fret wire?

I looked around this forum, but honestly, not real hard.  But I'm wanting to build my first CBG and when I went to CBGitty and looked at fret wire, I'm not sure which kind I need to buy. I'm just wanting to build a simple 3 string CBG. Any guide here?See More

Cigar box guitars on the Bone Collector on the Outdoor Channel

Posted on July 4, 2010 at 10:25am 0 Comments

There is someone named Mark that was featured on Michael Waddell's "Bone Collector" show on the Outdoor Channel. Does anyone know who he is? Is he a member of CBN? On the show he built a CBG that was went to Iraq and came back with signatures of soldiers on it. It was awesome. Anyone have any information on this?

Tim, thanks for the tips on podcasting. I have decided to pay for file storage on my "Boxheads United Wordpress blog to host the podcast. You will find a link to the homepage in the podcast group which should lead you to the rss feed. Thanks again for your help and continued support of the show

Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee
