- How did you learn about Cigar Box Nation?
- Started playing guitar in a rock cover band at age 15. A few years later decided to focus more on the keys...primarily Hammond B3. Still played guitar some, but mostly keys. 40 years later built my first cigar box guitar. Have built 30 in all including a lap steel, vox tear drop style 4 string and a cookie tin banjo/dulci strummer. Sold all but 7 of them. I still can't play them all that well but they are still a blast. In 2012, after 47 years, I gave up performing publicly and now do some writing and multi track recording. Learned about CBN from searching the web. Been the best resourse ever!
- How many instruments have you built so far?
- 25 or 30 -- CBG's, fiddles, ukuleles, canjos, resos, kalimbas, cajons, lap steels
- What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here, your membership may be rejected).
- I find that building guitars creates a mixture of feelings and emotions for me. They frustrate me and stress me at times but give me a tremendous sense of satisfaction and enjoyment other times. I'm retired and being able to build CBG's is very rewarding. I never build 2 the same way so each one creates a different set of challenges. They all have their own unique nuances and qualities. They keep my mind sharp and that's good for anyone, young or old.

Sit the pipe where you want to locate it,half fill with hot glue,put in the piezo, fill to the top with more glue.
It's a basic piezo disc from Maplin with twin core screened audio lead replacing the original wires.Sounds great for the cost

Is it Wfret? If so, do a search for Wfret download, and it is on a page called spaceports. I am at work and it won't let me past the link to it.
But try http://www.europa.spaceports.com and look about half way down the page.
