"I use a tuning app, as well as a clip on tuner, which displays frequencies and I tune my low G to 99.6 Hz. I have read that low G should be 196Hz or thereabouts, and I can achieve that but then cannot tune high G without breaking strings."

Low G
Hi everyone,I am new to owning a CBT and to this group so hello to all my new friends.I purchased my first cbg before attempting a build so I could get learning, I would like to tune my new cbg to GDG but the low G string will not tune to G before the strings snap, I have tried different gauges (48,46 & 44) all of which nearly get to the tuning but don't before breaking.Can I have some advice please,Many thanks,TerrySee More
