how to be precise with measuring scale length & frets

I have brass threaded rod for the nut and a .303 shell for the bridge. where do I measure from to get the right location for the frets?Continue

"Yes, a good wall wart is the best thing for any tube pedal.(best not to buy a generic one?) But I would use a 12v power supply, 9v puts a clamp on the headroom & can get woofy or flat sounding depending on what tube is used: (AT7, AU7, AV7, AX7)…"

"But the scratches I want  to remove are the ones in the finish, just around the slots. If I sand the top wont I remove the varnish?"
