For number four I used my last Winterman's box and a piece of oak for the neck. Didn't realise oak would be so hard to work...... I faced the headstock off with a piece of cedar from a broken box to match the body. This one's a 25.5 inch scale acoustic (no piezo this time). The string spacing is a little wider than usual just to see if it's any better for fingerpicking with my arthritic fingers.…

So for number three I decided to reuse the neck from my cheapo cardboard blues box guitar. My box choice was limited to the notch size on the neck. Yes it can get addictive. I built my first CBG 4 and a half years ago because I didn't want to shell out the bucks to buy one. I've now built 55 instruments. Unfortunately that's it for a couple of years while I go off to college where I don't have any space to build them or house tools & supplies. Have fun with your next 50 builds!
