Fretting?

So, yea. I tried using actual frets for a fret board for the first time, needless to say I'm gonna have to scrap it. I can't get the frets to keep from rocking in the slots. Any tips? Anybody?

Zero fret?

Does anyone know what fret wire should I use for a zero fret? If I'm using med/med for frets, what should I use for the zero fret?

"I love the old vintage boxes and the builds that match. I think you could 'rustify' the saddle and nut and it would be just right. I use a bit of black and barn read craft paint."

Most recent build. Antique Optimo box, mahogany neck, 3-string set up for slide. The pieces on the side of the headstock are from the wooden inserts that are often found inside some cigar boxes.
