I've just started dabbling in trying to write songs. A lot harder than it looks! But if I have anything by the next fest, it'd be the nuts to play one or two with you. Hope it's cooling down in NYC for you. You'll like autumn in New York State.
Thank you Thumbs for looking for me. Unfortunately, I had to change plans and go to work instead. Sorry about that. I am going to try again next Thursday. I try to get out at least once a week, but you know life. It may be cyclical, but it is far from symetrical LOL. Enjoy.
Thank you Thumbs for your very fine letter. I hope all is well with you. I am planning to be on the Lexington 53rd st E train platform tomorrow 4/22/10, in the morning to the early afternoon. Unfortunately, being a street performer, availability of the space is beyond my control. But chances are, I will be there. Hope to see ya. Enjoy.
Thanks for your comment Christopher. It plays great. It was my first one and I made action really high, no frets, and it is only playable w/slide. I usually tune it to an open G. The piezo and brass position markers are recent additions and really make it more usable. Plugged in you can go from clean to scream!
"It don't mean a thang, if it ain't got that clang!!!"We're discussing homemade dobro ideas. From dog bowls to paint can lids and whatever else you can dream up...we wanna see it! What do you use on your cigar box guitars to get that metal sound? Do you have a technique that projects sound like a dobro? Let's hear it! See More
