AEA is the tuning Im trying first.The top pairs are tuned  in unison and the bottom pair an octave apart.Kept the cost down by buying the timber for the body from a local model shop rather than from a supplier of "tonewood" .It was under £15.This has been ok for rectangular bodies but needed three joints front and back to get the width needed.

The timber is branded 'Orbit' comes with a good finish and I,ve been lucky enough to find book matched pairs in the shop rack so the grain looks the same both sides of the

centre joint

Haven,t a clue what to call it- any ideas ?

If I do this again I'll probably buy lengths of small square section wood for making the log to cut the tiles from.Making the stuff from scrap was a pain in the....... unless I,m using the wrong method ?

The box is 11 1/4 x 7 3/4 x 2" .The sizes were dictated by the dimensions of the bits of wood I had lying about
