Dear CBG friends, I' a musician from the far Europe, Hungary, lute, guitar and cigar box guitar player, and I'm looking for a tune that I hope you can help me to find. This is a rag tune, I can't remember its title, nor the composer's name, my uncle, who was a piano player played it in a Ragtime Band on stage 35 years before. Delta Blues: Last Dime Blues

Guys, this song is a blues on my home made CBG and canjo, and a normal blues guitar. The lyrics is by my friend (writing & singing). I play on the CBG and canjo, Andy plays on blues guitar.

Whisky-box guitar

Well, to start a new year (and decade) I made this 2 stringed one. It can be called a canjo, but it's rather a cbg made by a can. When I was looking for a can to make a normal canjo, I found this Ballantines box, of course with no any bottle inside. The shape and size forced me to build the neck this way, and the result is acceptable enough for me. Up in the Free Resources menu at the top, you will see a number of plans for building and playing cigar box guitars/ukuleles/banjos/dulcimers/violins. I encourage you to download any of the plans, take a look at them, and ask questions from there. Also our site is VERY searchable. I bet you your questions have already been asked, so take a few moments and look around.

Join our Chat sometime (see the bar at the bottom of your browser page). Keep in mind that tho the chat window says there are X number of people online, not all may have the chat window up.
