Slide and Seek

Posted on April 17, 2011 at 5:26am 1 Comment

Hey all you slide players out there. I recently got into geocaching (www.geocaching.com) and thought it would be cool to have a copper slide travel the world playing as many CBGs as possible. So i created one called Slide and Seek (TB40859) and placed it in one of my cache's. If you find it on it's travels please use it and take a photograph. I have posted a photo on m page.

Hey Andy, thanks for friending!

Regarding your request - 9 strings? I have never wound a pickup for so many strings, but I could give it a try. Two common Flatpup 4 would also cover the 85mm.

Anyway, it sounds interesting to wind such a big one! The main issue is to prevent the base plate from bending and also that the coil windings would be very loose. Let's go private to talk about the details, ok?

Thanks for the comment Andy. I wasn't sure if this one had been done too many times already. But at the moment I was feelin' it!
