  • I've read that rod piezos sound better, but I've never experimented with them.
    Hood luck on your build!
I look forward to seeing your photos!
  • Thanks Muddy, I had concerns about the two, loose halves so, I have them screwed together and also kept the interior lip in place (glued in now). If it turns out well I will post some build pics so other folks can see. I was planning on using a disc also but thinking about going with a rod type piezo in the bridge. I'll check out you photos.

  • I use piezo disks on my guitars. But on that box I had all kinds of trouble because the top and bottom weren't joined together at all. I ended up mounting the piezo on the bottom of the box. Not a good sound. I ended up putting hinges and a clasp on the box. It ended up looking good but sounding ok. If you want to see mine go to my photos on my profile page.
  • @Muddy Creek Guitars What kind of pick up did you use on yours?

  • Yah, sir.  I like the black and red.

  • Lookin' Good !

  • I had a namakubi once. Made a really pretty guitar but was hard for me to work with. I hope yours goes well for you. You'll have a beautiful guitar when your done.
