Thought you might like to see what i've been up to instead of building for the past week. Firing my wood kiln. This is what it looked like prior to unloading.

  • Uncle John, I think music is a good workout. I get into it as you do. I get cramps sometimes just from tapping my feet all evening at a get together. Good mind exercise too.

  • Yup on the good thing, Dave.   Darn.  Now I feel obligated to go for my workout!

  • Hey Uncle John, good for you on the workout. I go to The Center for personal fitness every day. I take sauna, swim in a therapy pool and keep clean. I go after coffee in the morning and make a big fruit smoothie for breakfast when i get home. I live two blocks from the center, so it is easy to roll down there daily. I got my mobility and life back by going there. It's a good thing....

  • Thanks you guys. I am addicted to doing. If I stop, i will end. I've got some great carcasses laying about to bring back to life. I think winter will be interesting....

  • Ah!!!  Now I see!   I agree with Unc!  You are a multi talented dude!   Nice stuff!  I'm impressed.

  • Pretty neat!

  • Well Dave, it's good to have multiple skills and hobbies and you do.   You are the Duluth Renaisance man.  I know what you mean though.  I work out a couple times a week or more and I am still strong for an old fart, but the core strength is diminishing.   :(

  • Thanks Uncle John, I'm getting too old for this stuff. I had a hard night trying to sleep with all the aches and pains. Kiln brick gets heavier every day. I like it a lot which keeps me trying. I like building guitars just as much and the stuff is lighter. I fired with 4 other friends so it shares the pain....

  • Very pretty stuff, Dave.  Big kiln.   My friend T.C. Blues was a master potter and good blues man before he had a stoke.
