Well, it's nice to see you anyway.  It's been so long since I did a profile pic that I don't know how to tell you to do it.  I saw that you are looking to build a cbg and that you already play guitar and some other instruments.   Good.  I strongly suggest starting with a fretless 3 string.   Easiest to do by far.  Check out at page top under resources - lots of help building and playing.   

Even if you play a six, find here or search out knotlenny's cbg 101.  It will have you playing a gazillion songs.   After you've made a fretless or two that you like - then consider a fretted 3 or four string.   MANY tunings, but for a six string player DGB or DGBE are fun and easy to play.  DGBE plays like your guitar using the small 4 strings (and has the same string relationships as a uke).
