What should I use these for?

The black one is wood and I want to use it for a body. I'm not sure what to do with the swisher sweets boxes

  • Thats cool I should be able to get the rest of the material I need tomorrow and have photos of the finished project in a few weeks. Still got two days of school left before my break starts.

  • Hey Christopher,

I don't know where to find plans, but here's a picture of one of my clocks.  I usually get an old battery-powered clock at the thrift store, take it apart, and install the movement in the cigar box.  I've used screws to mount some movements and double-sided tape to install others.  Enjoy!305765657?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024

  • I like all the ideas you guys have thanks you all really got me thinking about what to do with them. Mike where would I find plans for a clock?

  • They would make nice clocks.

  • if you put some bracing inside and some 1/16 plywood under the lid and run the neck through you can get good sound from those! I would make 3 string fretless out of all of them. if you can't get the 1/16 plywood you can take the skin off of a hollow wood door. When you glue that to the lid it sounds great!

  • I saw amps when I first saw these. I will make at least one amp out of the three and string instruments with the other two. The black one will be a three string guitar.

  • Thanks for all the ideas I will post pictures once the projects are finished

  • make strum sticks out of em ,, they real short scaled and could do a body thru  and they would work great for children ... use the datonic scale

  • I told the local convenience store owner about my projects and he agreed to give me any empty cigar boxes he has when I am in the store, which is almost daily. I liked the colors to much to turn them down despite their small size.

  • Lots of possibilities, Christopher.
