Had to drill holes for the outside strings to keep the properly spaced. Also, those tuning machines (E and G) had to be on opposite sided because of the amount of space the quick release nut takes up.

Thanks, Brydon! I got the idea from Lee Connah's bass in the recycled build contest in like 2011. They work surprisingly well, but they take a little bit of fiddling to figure out how to get the nuts at the right tightness. I'm gonna try to write up a little post about them soon.
