The Christopher T Marks project

This is a series of 9 guitars my 12 year old son and I started back in July this year. From the left is resonator #1, #5, #6, and #7. 2, 3, and 4 are not to this level of completion yet. The resonator is done and plays exceptionally well and was my son's favorite so I had given it to him. These were all made from recycling hardwood pallets, planing the planks down, making the finger joints, gluing them together in a box jig, carving the neck, gluing up the tops and bottoms, fretting and walnut dot inlays. My son did all of the sanding and shaping, I just did all the table saw and glue work. He was getting very good at what he was doing.Tragically on August 5 his life ended in an accidental drowning on an outing down on the Meramec River near Six Flags, Missouri with his step dad and sister. The under current was too strong and he must have stepped off into a hole. Search and Rescue searched for 2 days and found him 4 miles down river. His funeral was that following Sunday and Monday. I havent touched these guitars until about a week ago and decided to finish them and post them on Ebay in a couple of days to try to recoup some of the expenses for the funeral. I cherish every minute I spent with him doing these father son projects and miss him very much. Number 1 will not be for sale but the other 3 will be on Ebay soon as well as the other 4 in the weeks to come.
