this baby is a tone-machine - there are 48 combos of switches - not all are effective (for example "dirt" is barely noticeable on most of the out-of-phase settings)- but it goes from a jazzy dark tone to a funky-ice-pick-in-the-ear to a round fuzzy growl to a sweet 'classic strat' sound - all with a little metallic zing due to the resonator. There is no tone pot - only a fixed "full cap" rotary switch selector. Anyone interested in learning about the wiring, send me a note, I'll share what I know.
