  • Ya, I gotta bite the bullet and figure out this sound thing. Everyone is doing it, oh why oh why caint i?

  • Hope so! And sound clips soon too, if you dont get some audio soon Im gonna have to come out there and get ya set up (;

  • Thanks Jason, now to try building one like it. I've just been working on my garden and fence. Its taken my energy and money for a couple of weeks. My achin back... I just got a new oldie in the mail today. Another lap steel. This one is a National of about the same vintage, maybe late 40s or early 50s. It's mother of toilet seat and needs some pup work. Hope I can get her howling. She has the same pup as the Special. Photos tomorrow perhaps...

  • Great looking guitar Dave!

  • Sorry James, I'm still without sound. I need a young tech to bring me through to the sound barrier. I record at a studio, but don't on my computer yet. It's in there, but I just don't know how. I need to try it...

  • nice ! can we hear it ?

  • Ya, Wes, this old pup is nice. It has the magnet on on end and a wood look a like on the other end. The magnet comes off when you open the plate on top. I've never taken one of these apart before. Very simple but effective.

  • This is the real thing man I

  • This old Supro has the simplest wiring I've seen. When I replaced the old chord I found the pot to have three leads. A hot lead from the pup, a hot lead to the chord, a ground lead to the chord. That's it! The pot is grounded to the metal control plate just by it's attachment.
