  • I'm with you J. W! "Budget" guitars are my favorite. The pickups on these are amazing! I've got quite a few Silvertone electrics (1448), a couple Danelectros, some Teiscos, and a bunch of Harmony and Silvertone acoustics, and these two models have been on my want list for a long time
  • Wonderful stuff, sears, cool for slide action, love old American rigs, enjoy! - J.-

  • Nice pull jabes, great find!
  • 306320080?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024not in the same league but I rescued this yesterday from the recycling centre just before it got thrown in the skip.

All the electrics work ,intonation and action all good, sounds great but needs the paint sorting, luckily it's mostley water based..

  • Sounds like a great gig One. Happy repairing. Worth "dealing with".
  • The guy I traded with owns a local guitar shop and has been selling for over 30 years. Says he has more guitars than he needs or could ever get to, so thinning out his stock. Both guitars have issues and he doesn't want to deal with. Incidentally he's asked me to take on repair and set-up work, as well as supplying him with CBGs. I'm stoked! I met him at a show I was doing over the weekend.

Hey Dave- love to see it when it's done!
  • Nice trade! I would've felt like I stole them for 6 CBG's.

  • Wow, a couple of beauties. I've got a husk of the black one. Need to find pickups someday. Good trade!

  • Hey Bug- the smaller one is a Harmony h-44, its in great playing shape (just dressed frets and strung with .10s), original finish has been stripped and pots are frozen, but sounds amazing!
  • Wish I owned these...
