Sound Hole Screen 1

With this fret-less build I'm aiming to follow the general 'style' of my previous fretted cbg, but as the hardware will all be chrome on this one I decided to paint the gold anodised aluminium perforated sheet silver to match. It's actually the same acrylic gloss aluminium spray paint I used on my 'Dogbro' resonator build.I traced my sound hole cut directly from the box, positioned the screen inside the box with some tape and made reference marks, then by placing some small pieces of blu-tac on the rear of the tracing was able to feed it through the sound hole cut to attach it to the screen. On removing the screen I was then able to 'see' and mask off the area I needed to be free of paint when bonding it to the box with epoxy later, whilst ensuring I didn't miss any of the area to be painted.I also painted the back of the screen, which I did first. By using two small pieces of blu-tac stuck on the masked areas, I attached a small noggin of wood to each end of the screen so I could stand it upright during spraying to ensure coverage inside all the edges of the perforations.
