Second Build
This is another 3-stringer but with frets. The fret board was cut from a piece of 1-by walnut that I've been hauling around for almost forty years. It is very dry and very straight. I should be able to get seven or eight fret boards from this piece.
The neck is red oak that I stained with ocher to get it almost black to match the Brick House box.
The neck had a 3 degree down angle cut on it which was a tricky jigging process for a table saw.
The build uses a 27mm piezo padded then attached under the bridge.
The guitar has a banjo like sound which came as a surprise after the mellow sounding Punch slider.

I'm really enjoying the design and building aspects of CBGs. I just need to slow down til I find a home for some of them.

Ain't that the truth John. I thought that the deeper Brick House box would be deep and resonant, but the Punch is much more mellow. Interesting.....

You will find some surprises with boxes not sounding like you expect. Cool git. The more I look, the more I like.
