I had a hard time tuning up. The machines were hard to turn. It dawned on me that my fat “Snow Drift” bone nut was the culprit. By making my string slots around the drift it put drag on the string. So I used my Dremel to cut away the drift into a string free nut. Now the strings move freely through a small slot.
