Thanks for the wonderful comments! The spider is cut with a water jet out of cold rolled steel, I've been using paint can lids for about 14 years now. I only started using the spiders recently. i found the steel lids have a much tighter and bell like sound. There's also some modifications inside which increase the sustain and adds the "zing".
Wonderfull "classic" detail and if looks are any indication this little beauty sings . I would love to see/hear this reso in a video . Job well done !!!
