The inset shows how I strengthened it with 18mm ply, this braced the thin tin on the back and gave good support to the front when I cut through to take the cone. The 'f' holes (which will remain unfinished due to lack of my metalworking skill) look like the thing has been attacked by multi-calibre small arms! WTH! The pickup is a 4-string Elmar Zeilhofer flatpup 'double-sided' taped direct to the tin. This meant I only had a small hole to drill for the two p/u wires.
