just trying the top for fit - needs a little more shaping befor i fix it and add a finish to it - then it's time to wind :-)juju.

    Thanks Andy - in responce to your question - the top of the bobbin is made up of five veneers cross laminated , the effect is created by cutting through the layers of veneer at a angle - hope this helps
