Recessed Jackplate

Found out the hard way not to hold the plate with my bare fingers while drilling. The plate caught fast to the drill bit and spun around in my fingers, putting a nice gash in my thumb and forefinger.

    Tiny, That's what I ended up doing. Too bad I wasn't smart enough to think of that before doing minor surgery on my fingers.

    I too have done something similar...afterward all I thought about was what made me think I was stronger than an 18 volt drill....

    HeHe , It's not funny but I did the same thing . Had a bandaid on my thumb for a week - Couldn't even hold a pick ..... Vise Grips work better :-)
