  not sure how to answer yer first question but fer yer second question i think with a soundpost it would pick up more vibrations from the back of the cigar box. been wanting to do that fer a while now to see what kind of difference it makes on a solid top and solid back cigar box.

  yep it should make some difference in the vibration,the bridge is a store bought 5 string banjo bridge from bezdez. i just re-spaced the string spacing fer a 3-string. to get the right action on the strings,i angled the neck where the headstock is tilted down.

  Nice bridge! I have a paint-can lid reso on the bench just now, too! Does that cut-out on the bridge help the ring, do you think?
